The village of L’Isle en Dodon is 7 km away, where you can get your daily groceries at the Intermarché. There are also some small shops, doctor, pharmacy / drugstore, cafes and restaurants. There is also a guarded outdoor pool on the edge of the village.
The Save is a river that runs through L’Isle and Dodon. There are opportunities for canoeing on this river. For information about this and of course for other information you can contact the L’office tourist.
Walking and cycling are also possible. A number of walking and cycling routes have been set out around our village. A short distance there are also reservoirs, where you can fish with a permit.
Of course a trip to the Pyrenees should not be missed; an impressive tour along the Tourmalet and the Col d’Aspin, or a visit to the Pic de Midi is certainly worthwhile.
Visiting Lourdes, walking through the Gorges de Save, seeing the transport of the imposing A380 parts, should not be missing from your list.
A day in Spain is highly recommended, if only to buy the cheaper Spanish gasoline, drinks, cigarettes or go out for a cheap meal.
Shopping in a number of large cities in the area is of course also doable. Think of Toulouse, Saint Gaudens, Auch all reachable within an hour.
France is famous for its nice markets, which are very pleasant, especially in the summer period. On Saturday morning there are a small markets in L’Isle and Dodon. Large markets are held on Monday morning in Samathan and Wednesday morning in Lannemezan.
